HPV（Human papilloma virus infections）

昨日の授業はHPV（ヒトパピローマウィルス）について。多くの子宮頸がんの原因ともされるこのウィルス。

日本でHPVワクチン摂取が推奨されてから９年。その後、全身の疼痛・知覚障害・運動障害・記憶障害等の深刻な副作用が発生し、積極的推奨が中止されてから５年が経過しました。

授業でこの副作用について、日本で大きな話題になったと話しましたが、クラスメートの韓国人、シリア人医師、カナダ人の先生（元臨床検査技師）も、このような深刻な副作用が起こったというを知らないようで驚きました。

授業の復習も兼ねて医療英語と一緒にまとめたいと思います。

HPV cause warts.

wartsというのはイボのことで、医療専門用語ではverucaと言います。

Warts difinition:

Small skin growths caused by HPV.

Classification of warts: 

Common warts, Plantar warts, Genital warts

Plantarというのは足の裏を、Genitalというのは生殖器を意味します。

Genital areaというと、陰部（女性でいうとデリケートゾーン）のことを意味し、Pubic areaとほぼ同義で使われます。
